Before each startup, first check if the pump oil in the vacuum pump is sufficient.
2. Unscrew the drain valve and let the remaining water flow out. After draining, tighten the valve.
3. Check if the contact part between the freeze-drying chamber and the cold trap is intact, clean and readjust if necessary.
4. Close all valves (valves directly connected to the freeze-drying bottle, with the white knob facing upwards indicating closure). Close the valve connecting the cold trap to the vacuum pump (located behind the instrument and connected to the vacuum tube).
5. Turn on the power switch of the cold trap and the power switch of the vacuum pump.
6.15 minutes later, open the valve connecting the cold trap to the vacuum pump.
After 7.1 minutes, the pre frozen sample (already in the freeze-drying bottle) can be hung on the bracket, and the corresponding valve can be opened to start the freeze-drying process.
After freeze-drying, close the corresponding valve (with the white knob facing upwards) and remove the freeze-drying bottle.
9. After all freeze-drying bottles are removed, turn off the power supply of the vacuum pump and the cold trap in sequence.
10. After the frost in the cold trap melts, open the drain valve for drainage and then close it.
matters needing attention
1. Before freeze-drying, the sample must first undergo pre freezing, and the sample must be in a solid state (frozen state) before freeze-drying. The longer the pre freezing time, the better the freeze-drying effect. The volume of the sample should not exceed one-third of the volume of the sample bottle.
2. If the sample melts during freeze-drying and the vacuum pump and cold trap are in good working condition, the reason is that the vacuum degree is insufficient and there are air leaks. Please check if all valves are closed, if the contact area between the freeze-drying chamber and the cold trap surface is sealed, and if necessary, clean the sealing rings on the cold trap surface and freeze-drying chamber.

4. Freeze drying can only be done 15 minutes after startup, in order to pre cool the cold trap and preheat the vacuum pump. Only in this way can the instrument work in a working state.
After the freeze-drying is completed and the valve is closed, the interior of the freeze-drying bottle is connected to the outside. After the air pressure is balanced, the bottle can be removed. 6.
